Abortion is on the ballot

Abortion is health care – plain and simple. We shouldn't need a permission slip from the government to do what's best for our bodies.

The increase in bans and restrictions by Republican lawmakers and courts have made basic healthcare services harder for Americans to get, especially reproductive healthcare. They've packed the courts and are fighting to keep the majority to finish their agenda. Republican leadership continues to make this a priority.

Just this month, Donald Trump's new Attorney General, Todd Blanche, openly called for a national ban on abortion medication through the mail, an interpretation of the Comstock Act that Republicans are eager to use to restrict abortion even further. That includes states where it is legal, like Oregon.

While Republican lawmakers work to erode our hard-won rights, we're not giving up without a fight. Thanks to strong grassroots supporters, Democrats are standing up and fighting back across the country. We plan to win big this year.

This election is our chance to take back the House and protect abortion rights across the country. We need to meet the moment and kick out every entrenched anti-abortion activist, judge and politician we can.

All Americans have the right to determine their economic future, make their own medical decisions and decide for themselves when or if they start a family.

This year – and in every election – abortion is on the ballot.
