Eugene, OR — Congresswoman Val Hoyle has been declared the winner of the Democratic primary in Oregon’s 4th Congressional District on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. In a message to constituents across the district, Hoyle thanked supporters, volunteers, and voters for their hard work and turnout.
Congresswoman Hoyle said:
“I want to thank everyone across Oregon’s 4th District — whether you voted for me or not — for making your voices heard. I also want to thank the candidates who put themselves forward to run in this election. It’s not easy, and I appreciate a robust democratic process. To every volunteer who knocked doors, made calls, talked to neighbors, and helped spread the word about what we’re fighting for: Thank you.
But the real fight starts now. We have to hold this seat and take back the majority to put a check on this Administration and the damage it’s doing to working families. This election will decide whether we are able to defend and protect free and fair elections, access to reproductive health care, including safe and legal abortion, workers’ protections, humane treatment of our immigrant neighbors, and an economy that is built from the middle out instead of the top down.
The stakes couldn’t be higher, and I’m honored to be the Democratic Party nominee to represent Oregon’s 4th Congressional District. I’m looking forward to working to earn the support of voters in November’s general election.”
Congresswoman Val Hoyle is a fighter for Oregon’s 4th District with a record of delivering for Oregon’s hardworking families. From her union roots, to her leadership in the state legislature and now as our Congresswoman, she has always put working people first.
