We can make sure that doesn't happen

President Trump has refused to accept any bipartisan deal to fund the government in order to pressure Senate Republicans to ban mail-in voting under the guise of stopping election fraud.

This is all intentional – with skyrocketing gas prices, American lives being lost in an ill-conceived, poorly planned war with Iran, and the blatantly unconstitutional actions of DHS and ICE in our streets, the GOP knows the American people have had enough. They know they can't win a free and fair election, so they want to choose their voters instead of voters choosing their representatives. But we can make sure that doesn't happen.

We can defeat the so-called SAVE Act if enough of us speak out. Senator Wyden and I have sponsored our bill to protect and expand Oregon's vote-by-mail system and give every American the right to vote by mail.

Protecting our elections and our vote-by-mail system is the concern I hear most often from Oregonians, and I will do everything in my power to stop Republicans from making it hard, inconvenient, or burdensome to exercise our constitutionally-guaranteed right to vote in 2026 and beyond.

Oregon's elections are world-class, and it's time to make voting just as easy, secure, and accessible for all Americans.
